FOr some reason none of your posts came up on the blog for a while. I think I have fixed this. And yes I will be answering now.

Sober and then what?

Sobriety suits some people.
To others, it is more destructive than productive.
Physical health is not important, - we all get ill from time to time and we all finally succumb to the dying of cells, be it disease or simply old age. Mental health is a different matter.
Our brain deteriorates over time, and as such it is no different than the rest of our corpus.
The difference lies in how aware you are of this deterioration, and how you decide to fill the void in-between now and then. Your body doesn't care whether it's Tuesday or Thursday, whether you work or you don't , whether we're at war or not. But your mind is constantly affected by this, both consciously and unconsciously (and in my view the two are identical, - the latter being invented as an excuse for thoughts and actions that are socially unacceptable). This is going nowhere. An apt description of my sober mental state. As a consequence of merely a week's worth of abstinence, my dreams have returned. I now wake up three to four times a night completely puzzled, often at unease and with absurd visions of what may or may not be.
When I awoke abruptly around four this morning, I had survived what seemed like an eternity on a rusty bulk of a ship, witnessed a dazzling display of dismembered cocks, had my foot caught in an anchor and been thrown out of a Islamic after-school activity class for recounting aforementioned mentioned events to a Dutch teenage girl. When I managed to fall asleep again, I found myself being chased by a petty drug dealer who despite all the beatings and frankly crude attempts at 'making him see sense' still persisted in being alive and carrying a grudge. When he finally died, I awoke. All in a night's work. It was neither pleasant nor productive, and I'm fucking knackered.
I cannot remember being this highly strung ever. And mentally off balance. I may have to go back on the bend.

Let's burn a flag and let the whole world know we're morons

Religion is the purest form of denial.

We don't live in the dark ages, we have freedom of speech and expression and we're not all idiots. Burning the Danish flag in protest over amusing caricatures of a religious leader who has been dead for centuries seems a waste of paraffin. Don't these people have jobs? I mean, what the fuck is going on? Anyone who is religious is per definition naïve, narrow-minded and irrational. This is my view and I have the right to express it. Sadly I don't have a personal flag so dissenters will have to find something else to burn. I don't give a toss about religion or religious icons. I personally found the cartoons amusing, almost as amusing as seeing pictures of morons burning the Danish flag. Just out of curiosity - how many Danish flags are there to be burned in Muslim countries? Surely they must be running out of them by now?

The boycott of Danish products by Muslim countries is misguided at best. "Let's not buy Danish dairy products to show our anger. But let's buy loads of Danish flags we can burn". About as logical as believing in God, or Allah or whatever the fuck his name is.

Let them burn as many flags as they like. Idiots have a right to exist too, however much it pains me to admit it.

So a whole load of 21st century people are going to demonstrate in front of the Danish embassy at two o'clock today in protest of the cartoons. Shouldn't they be at work?
If a drawing can provoke you to burn the flag of a nation, you should be fucking locked up in a mental ward. If your god is so great why doesn't he just destroy Denmark with his bare hands? Religious people are suckers for carrying out the dirty work of their 'leader'.
And the net result is the same. Denmark has officially, and repeatedly, apologised for causing offence. What else can they do? Invent a time machine, go back a few weeks and not print the cartoons? Highly unlikely, wouldn't you say? Even the most backward of religious morons should be able to see futility of such a move.
So isn't the protest taking place today in front of the Danish embassy completely pointless? Danes are great but even they aren't capable of reversing time. Beyond an apology, what more can be done? We already give them shitloads of money, asylum, medicine, the right to practice their religion without fear of presecution and so forth.
And for fucks sale, half of the Muslim world either lives in Denmark or receives Danish aid. Get over it. Allah, Jesus, Jehovah, Buddha, Elvis - they're all dead and fuck the lot of them.
